Client Overview

Dom Brazil – Cuisine Brésilienne is a Montreal-based meal prep company specializing in authentic Brazilian homemade frozen meals. They cater to the local Brazilian community as well as food lovers seeking traditional Brazilian flavors. Their goal is to offer convenience without compromising authenticity, making it easy for customers to enjoy high-quality, ready-to-heat meals at home.

The Challenge

Dom Brazil had a loyal base of customers through word-of-mouth but lacked a professional digital presence to reach new audiences. They needed:

  • A visually appealing website that reflected Brazilian culture and cuisine

  • A clear online ordering system to streamline weekly sales

  • Space to showcase their different meal categories and highlight dietary options

  • An easy way to educate customers on the ordering process

  • Brand positioning that communicates both authenticity and convenience

The Brief

The project scope was to create:

  • A bilingual-friendly, responsive website targeting both Brazilian and local Canadian customers

  • A visual identity that blends Brazilian cultural elements with a modern food business look

  • An intuitive order flow that guides customers from menu browsing to checkout

  • Sections for different meal categories: Brasileirinho, Fit, Low Carb/Keto, Special Dishes, and Pork Specials

  • Integration of email capture for menu updates and promotions

Creative Process

  1. Research & Brand Positioning
    I studied the Brazilian community’s preferences in Montreal and common UI patterns in meal prep businesses to combine authenticity with conversion-driven design.

  2. Visual Identity Integration
    The design uses warm, inviting colors inspired by Brazilian culture, paired with clear product photography to evoke freshness and flavor. Typography is modern and easy to read, with emphasis on calls-to-action.

  3. User Experience Design

    • Hero section with a strong brand statement: “Real Homemade Food – Frozen for Your Convenience”

    • Order Process Timeline visually explaining the week’s schedule

    • Meal Category Grid with icons and short descriptions for each menu style

    • Email capture section to keep customers engaged with updates and special offers

    • Prominent Order Now buttons across key sections to drive conversions

  4. Functionality
    The website was built with a clear mobile-first approach, as many customers place orders via smartphones. The order flow was optimized to reduce clicks and friction.

Results & Impact

  • Created a professional and culturally relevant online presence that appeals to both Brazilian expats and local Montrealers

  • Increased weekly orders by making the process simple and visual

  • Built an email marketing base to promote seasonal dishes and special offers

  • Enhanced customer trust by clearly explaining the product range and order process
